PDO Threads
Depending on the type, PDO threads, in the world of aesthetic medicine known as ‘’a powerful collagen stimulator”, have a wide range of applications from regenerative effects on connective tissue to its lift.
Once it is placed in the tissue, the PDO thread (polydioxanone) is used as a matrix around and on which a number of reactions occur, starting with stronger and quicker collagen and elastin stimulation. According to clinical trials by Kim et al published in 2016, histopathology studies confirmed that the best effect is visible about 12 weeks after the procedure.
PDO threads are applied to the face, as well as other parts of the body, such as the neck, abdomen, breasts, elbows, knees and buttocks.
The effect is temporary and disappears gradually.
